2013’s Modern Vampires of the City delves darker and deeper into the abyss than any previous Vampire Weekend album, and fans couldn’t get enough of it. The album peaked at #1 in 2014, with the most popular tracks being Unbelievers; Diane Young and Step. Bandleader Ezra Koenig preoccupied the inevitable end, and it fuels his music in a more subtle fashion than even their past album Contra.
