GG Allin & The Disappointments – Dawn's Garage - CD (Digipak)

Previously unreleased practice tapes from GG & The Disappointments 1989 tour, recorded August 20, 1989 in Muskegon MI on a boombox. Per the liner notes provided by Malcolm Tent "now, over 30 years late, here it is.... warts and all" and as best described by GG hisself "for those who can take it raw". The recording is indeed raw and covered with warts, but as a lifelong GG fan myself, I was ecstatic to rip one open and crank it up and I was completely happy with it. Any "previously unreleased" GG Allin material is dwindling to a drip so that in itself makes this CD a must have. What made me most excited was multiple takes of GG & the Disappointments playing Patsy Cline's Walking After Midnight... we all know GG was a big country / country western fan and hearing this brought back great memories of off-stage-GG. Many times in the 90s GG stated he could still sing like he did in the 80s and this proves it. He sings the song(s), it's a low key practice among friends, no crowd to rile him up. There's also a Troggs tune, an unreleased song from those days and a different version of Look Into My Eyes & Hate Me. Git yers now! ps: don't ask me what happened on day 1, maybe GG got some rest..
